Wright On

Florida Times-Union reporter Michael C. Wright covers the ins and outs of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In this blog, he'll share behind-the-scenes anecdotes not published within the pages of the T-U, in addition to offering up incessant ramblings about nothing such as road trips, crummy hotels and not-so-delicious press box food. Perhaps he'll even delve into serious discussions about NFL issues. So ask questions, participate in conversations, or just learn more about the Jags.

Lots of Jaguars changes

Changes for the Jags lineup today are numerous.

Dennis Norman is starting for Brad Meester at center; Richard Collier for Tony Pashos at right tackle; Reggie Williams for Dennis Northcutt at WR; Quinn Gray for David Garrard at QB; LaBrandon Toefield for Fred Taylor at RB.

On defense, Reggie Hayward for Paul Spicer at DE; Brian Iwuh for Daryl Smith at MLB and Aaron Glenn for Rashean Mathis at CB.

Please tell us that Del Rio was just kidding around by playing Chad Owens.

Hey Mike,

How's the man with the sledge, Paul Spicer?

Paul looks like he's ready to roll. He says the ankle is fine. Believe it or not, it's a good sign (in a way) when you don't see a guy in the locker room much (it means he's getting lots of treatment). Spicer has kind of slipped in and out of the locker room the last couple of days. He's his usual jovial self - which isn't fun for me sometimes, since he likes to crack jokes about me (we go back and forth though).
