Lambeau Field: What an atmosphere
Covering the NFL for a few years, I've had a chance to see several different stadiums. None are as unique as Lambeau Field.
After having a pretty big lunch at Favre's Steakhouse (a great place by the way), I decided to walk from my hotel to the game. The stadium sits near a residential area. It's pretty cool to see fans pouring out of the neighborhood, wearing their Packers jerseys and walking to the game. Seriously, there are fans walking from all over the place and Brett Favre's No. 4 jersey is by far the most popular.
There are approxmately 100,000 people in Green Bay and the city oozes a small-town atmosphere with a gem - Lambeau Field - tucked neatly inside it. Vito (he's sitting right next to me) mentioned that Green Bay was a top 10 market. Wow.
Sure this place has lots of history, but the fans' commitment to their team is commendable.

The place looks full and people are still coming in.
Have the rules changed or are the refs not paying attention? The refs seem to be rather slow on their whistles this pre-season.
The Fox announcers said there were teal Cheeseheads, did you see any?
It was nice to see one of the Fox Announcer's wearing a teal tie :)
It was great to see the guy in the Jags Jersey with his "GO Jaguars" Sign after Iwo's TD!
The Packers didn't have any difficulty passing over the middle, I hope that's fixed by September 9th!
GO JAGUARS!!!
Terri,
Funny you should say that. That's exactly what Marcedes Lewis and George Wrighster were talking about in the locker room after the game. They said the refs were letting them do whatever they wanted.
I didn't see too many teal cheeseheads though. There was a group of about four sitting on the home side wearing Nick Greisen jerseys. Greisen is originally from Wisconsin.
As for the passing defense, that's a tough one. The Packers pretty much had their way with the Jags No. 1 defense. I'll chalk it up to an off night. I don't think what happened will become a regular thing.
The defense will be fine. They need to dump Terry Cousin. Have they tried Webb, Starks or Thornton in that spot?
Thanks Michael, the refs did the same thing against Tampa with not ending the plays, I was sure someone would get hurt.
jj, Webb needs an attitude adjustment. He is blah on the field, I never ever thought he'd be afraid to tackle but he has been for the last 3 years.
I would love to see the Dee Webb, I watched at Ed White. Webb was also their quarterback perhaps Jack and Shack ought to give him a chance he certainly couldn't be any worse than Leftwich (is currently) that's for sure! Why on earth did he go down head first, is he trying for another IR season?
