Wright On

Florida Times-Union reporter Michael C. Wright covers the ins and outs of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In this blog, he'll share behind-the-scenes anecdotes not published within the pages of the T-U, in addition to offering up incessant ramblings about nothing such as road trips, crummy hotels and not-so-delicious press box food. Perhaps he'll even delve into serious discussions about NFL issues. So ask questions, participate in conversations, or just learn more about the Jags.

Bosseli on Hall's nominee list

The Pro Football Hall of Fame released its initial nominee list for the Hall's 2008 class and former Jaguars tackle Tony Bosseli is on it.

Do you guys think he did enough to merit induction? Is eight years a long enough career?

Below is the entire list.

Taylor to write book

It's a little past Noon and I'm sitting in the press box at Raymond James Stadium (gotta love the bananas foster they serve at halftime - at least they served it last time I was here covering the Bucs-Redskins 2005 playoff game) with a little extra time on my hands, I figured I'd shoot a blog in the air.

Anyway, talking to Jags RB Fred Taylor on Friday, he revealed to me that he plans on penning a book, approximately three years after he's done playing football. He says it'll be "steamy and juicy" and that he's been writing journals over the years to chronicle his experiences. He started what he calls the "man journals" during his college days at Florida.

But to keep from stirring up controversy, Taylor says he's kept quiet about a lot of things he's endured, some of which, he says, are happening now. So, I'm bracing for a copy. For more insight into Taylor's book plans, check tomorrow's Florida Times-Union or http://www.jacksonville.com/

Kickoff is about 3 1/2 hours away and this one should be interesting. Feel free to send your thoughts my way over the course of the game.
